The charge for the creation of marketing brochures?
I'm pretty efficient in Microsoft Publisher 2007 and I thought I could make some money in the side by creating marketing flyers for small businesses that could well be printed or e-mail could print myself. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I could go about charging people for it? For example, if a small business owner comes to me and made a flyer to advertise your business, say they will either mail them or deliver them, what kind of rate would be reasonable for something like this? The business owner would give me information you want on the steering wheel, so they say it takes maybe a couple of hours maximum to get the brochure perfected. I can do other marketing materials as well as cards postcards, emails, etc. Does anyone know any companies that do this, and what they charge? Or if you have any suggestions on what I can do, please help me! Thanks!
I charge by the hour. That way if I have a super demanding customer with a lot of issues that do not get cheated out of my time. Having a contract. That is VERY VERY important. Agreement the terms up front. I personally charge $ 40/hr, my friend, but it charges $ 75/hr for large companies. My sister charges $ 25/hr but the company's customers are smaller than mine.
