Are we going to go to small claims court in Austin, Texas or Houston, TX?
I have a client claiming my warranty company is a "satisfaction guaranteed ", and claims are to be met, but who meet all the guarantees contained in the document being prepared by these statements. I feel safe if taken to court to easily win the small claims case, however, I have a question: We are an Internet business (Search Engine Optimization) located in Austin, TX and the customer is in Houston, TX. In the case of this a small claims case for less than $ 500, I'll have to travel to Houston or will be necessary travel to Austin for the court date? Thanks for your help!
Unless you have assets located within the county in which Houston is located, would have to travel to Austin. If files in Houston, it would be able to petition for a change of venue.
