If you want to go into management consulting and want to work for a company great, I suggest consulting firm to investigate and find out what type of interview they do (how to go about it, what they want, etc..) It could describe the scene in great detail and I probe for details, looking to see if he or she exhibited certain behaviors that we value. Does not really matter if the applicant disagreed with his chief of Goldman-Sachs or his boss at McDonalds. We went in search of behaviors, not flashy name-dropping. We prefer to have someone who shows appropriate behavior at McDonald's than one that does not show the correct behavior of Goldman-Sachs. One of the most important skills of a management consultant is to think critically and adapt quickly. (There are many others). As an employer, would be much more interested in a candidate whose resumes reflect a valuable qualities impressive list of companies (not that it is "either"). After many years as a management consultant who had worked for a group customers in a lot of commitment to customers. Each entry may be different and my role would be different in each project. It is impractical to include all this detail in a couple of pages of a resume. What I did was in place to organize my curriculum vitae for "competencies." I starting each skill (such as "Program / Project Management "or" Business Development ") and then a list of the highlights of my experience in project management in that game and the highlights of my business development experience in this game.
