Please help with cell phone provider in Kerala! that can provide some form of HSPA, EDGE or 3G?
I'm going to visit family in India few months, and i wonder if there's 3G HSDPA or UMTS or support high-speed Internet with cell phones in Kerala? If so, the telephony provider 3G phone has and what areas are covered? I should be able to access the online stock market … Because I was thinking about connecting to my laptop so you can access the Internet, which is my ultimate goal. So please let me know which option I have when I visit Kerala. Any help will be greatly appreciated! Thanks
Hello India not only has two systems at this time its CDMA and GSM 2.5. There is not 3G enabled networking here. But there may EDGE access your Internet stock market and cell phone connected to your laptop. I've been doing for the past 2 years. I am using Airtel also Relince have a connection. It is better to buy a Dongle Relaince as I can find the speeds are better in some way. Try Airtel MO services, mobile Internet unit these two companies are providing different platforms ie, GSM and CDMA. There are different plans based on usage. Definitely not high speed but work. I also remember one thing I have to buy your connection to your own connection from outside will not work here !!!!!
