By "online marketing" half of your question, I'd recommend two authors: Jennifer Laycock and Jakob Nielsen. Jennifer is a leading U.S. expert Search Engine Marketing, and Jakob the preeminent expert in the design of the user interface. As Director of Marketing for my e-commerce company, my philosophy is that Web Marketing, it is mainly the user interface: make your workplace in terms the customer, not the merchant.
